Are you ready to step into a role where finance and technology meet? As our Finance Systems Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of optimising and supporting our financial systems, ensuring they empower our teams and deliver on our mission.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring our systems deliver accurate, reliable, and timely financial information to support decision-making across the organisation. This means not just supporting users, but owning and improving core financial processes, building automation, and strengthening system controls.

You’ll:

  • Configure and maintain TechnologyOne Financials, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Procurement modules.
  • Provide trusted advice and training to finance and non-finance teams.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with audit and financial standards.
  • Partner with internal customers on upgrades, reporting automation, and system integrations.
  • Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and transparency.

This is a role where your work will directly contribute to better financial governance and outcomes for the Bay of Plenty community.

Ō pūmanawa | Your skills and experience

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in TechnologyOne system administration and configuration.
  • Skilled in finance or accounting, with a good understanding of financial reporting and controls.
  • Analytical, detail-focused, and comfortable working with complex data.
  • Proficient in Excel; Power BI or reporting automation experience is desirable.
  • A clear communicator who enjoys training, collaboration, and solving problems.

Whether you come from a finance background and want to expand into systems, or from a systems background with strong finance experience, we value curiosity, initiative, and a drive to improve.
