We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and adaptable Business Analyst to join our Digital team and play a key role in accelerating our AI Enablement Programme and delivering other priority digital initiatives for Toi Moana. Te āhuatunga a te tūranga | About the role

This is a full-time role (40 hours a week) that can be based in either our Whakatāne or Tauranga offices:  

This role is expected to:

  • Accelerate delivery of our AI Enablement Programme, identifying and progressing opportunities through design, implementation, and continuous improvement, working alongside our AI Programme Lead and business teams. 
  • Work across the organisation to engage with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and define business requirements, ensuring solutions meet business needs and deliver value. 
  • Identify and drive business process improvement opportunities using digital tools, automation, and system enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Map current and future-state processes, capture business needs, understand customer journeys, and define clear user requirements. Identify and drive business process improvement opportunities using digital tools, automation, and system enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Promote architectural consistency and usability standards; define and execute test cases. 
  • Identify opportunities to deliver additional value using our existing technology and information assets. Help ensure changes are well embedded, and that solutions are understood and adopted by kaimahi. 

Ō pūmanawa | Your skills and experience

We are looking for a confident and personable individual who can build strong relationships, and who likes to take a human-centred approach to solving problems.

To be successful in this role you will have:   

  • A relevant tertiary qualification. 
  • 4+ years’ Business Analyst experience. 
  • 1+ years’ Project Management experience. 
  • Experience working in an agile environment would be an advantage. 
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and facilitation, with the ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. 
  • Experience identifying and delivering process improvement initiatives, ideally leveraging digital tools or automation. 
  • Exposure to, or experience working with, AI technologies or supporting AI-enabled initiatives would be highly regarded. 
  • Knowledge of ERP system management would be beneficial. 
  • Experience working with Cloud/SaaS solutions would be beneficial. 
  • The ability to effectively gather information from multiple sources and apply technical and analytical skills to enable robust decision-making.
